Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor have started shooting for the next schedule of Ayan Mukherji’s film Brahmastra in Mumbai. Here are the photos from the sets.
The couple has been spotted in Mumbai frequently over the last week at a dance studio where they have been prepping for the film’s action sequences. The next schedule of the film will see the lead pair shoot high-octane action sequences. Brahmastra is touted to be a romantic fairytale in a supernatural format. Ranbir and Alia have shot for the film in Bulgaria and the film will reportedly be wrapped in January.
The couple was engrossed in a conversation with director Ayan Mukherji, who is also their close friend. The couple will be seen in a completely different avatar in the film. Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy are also part of the film and play pivotal characters. The film is being made in a trilogy format. This is the first part of the three film series that has been planned by Ayan Mukherji.
The film was slated to release on Independence Day next year but Karan Johar announced on social media recently that the film will now release on Christmas next year. He had tweeted, “PART 1!!!! #BRAHMASTRA #CHRISTMAS2019 @DharmaMovies written and directed by AYAN MUKERJI”
Ranbir Kapoor had said in an interview that he hopes that the first part of the film does well so that they have an opportunity to make the second and the third parts.
