CBSE Class 10 Second Board Results 2026 Delayed: More than 50 days after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) wrapped up its first Class 10 Second Board Examination, lakhs of students all over India are still waiting around for the results. As of July 10, 2026 the board has not put out any official update about a declaration date, so students and parents are left unsure at this crucial stage of the academic cycle.
The prolonged delay has become a growing concern because the second board examination was introduced to give Class 10 students an additional opportunity to improve their scores or clear compartment subjects within the same academic year. With Class 11 admissions already underway in many schools, candidates awaiting revised marks say the uncertainty is beginning to affect their academic plans.
CBSE held the Class 10 Second Board Examination from May 15 to May 21, 2026 under its newly brought dual board examination system. Still, unlike the first board, the board has not yet put out any official notice about when the results will be declared or the timeline for publishing them.
According to multiple media reports, more than 6.68 lakh students appeared for the second examination, with improvement candidates forming the largest group. Despite repeated speculation about an early July announcement, no official notification has been released by CBSE so far.
CBSE Class 10 Results 2026 Delayed? Students Worried as School Admissions Close
This delay is coming at a delicate moment for students moving into higher secondary education. A few schools already began Class 11 sessions, but many learners who are aiming to boost their board results can’t really decide.

Students also shared worries on social media platforms, you can see the concern everywhere. One user wrote, “When is the CBSE going to release Class 10 second board exams’ result? Another questioned the relevance of the delayed results, saying, “Isn’t the delayed declaration of the CBSE Class 10 Phase 2 exam result making it practically irrelevant? By now, most students have already secured admission to Class 11 based on the Phase 1 results, finalized their streams, and even completed their first-term examinations. What purpose will the Phase 2 result serve now? Kindly explain why these students have been left waiting for so long.”
Education portals and media reports suggest that the results could be announced during the second week of July, but these remain estimates rather than confirmed dates. CBSE traditionally does not announce result dates well in advance and usually releases a notification shortly before publishing the scorecards online.
