Now, thirteen years later, the spotlight comes back to this famous German ground.
For this special night, the stadium will allow fewer people than usual. The Allianz Arena usually holds over 75,000 fans during Bundesliga games. But for the final, only 64,500 seats will be used, as the standing areas are being changed into seats, reports AS News.

The stadium first opened in 2005 and could seat around 66,000 people back then. Before the 2006 World Cup, its size went up to nearly 70,000. In 2015, it reached its current full capacity of just over 75,000. A plan to add standing areas in the north stand was talked about in 2023, but it never happened.
People around the world also know Allianz Arena for how it lights up at night. The outside of the stadium is covered with more than 2,700 small, cushion-like panels made from a special plastic material called ETFE.
These cushions are very thin, only 0.2mm thick. Out of them, over 1,000 cushions on the outer walls can light up in different colors, while the rest on the roof do not glow. These lights help the stadium stand out and make it look beautiful from far away, especially during big games.

Before Euro 2024, the stadium also got some upgrades. The press area was made bigger, and better broadcast tools were added to make sure coverage of the match is smooth. Everything is now ready for another historic night in Munich.
