Chennai: Elderly man files petition seeking to marry PV Sindhu; threatens to abduct her

While going though the various petitions, grievances filled by general public during the weekly meetings, the district collector of Ramanathapuram district in Tamil Nadu was left puzzled by the plea filled by a 70-year-old man who was seeking to marry India’s badminton star PV Sindhu.

Going by the report of India Today, the elderly man named Malaisamy reached the collector, carrying a letter with a photo of 24-year-old badminton gold medalist PV Sindhu and of himself and the letter insisting on his interest to marry the athlete.

The petitioner even said that he will abduct Sindhu and marry her if necessary arrangements for marriage are not made.

Malaisamy also mentioned in the petition that he is actually a 16-year-old boy. He claimed that his date of birth is April 4, 2004. He also added that he was too impressed by Sindhu’s success in her sporting career and wants her to be his life partner.
