Chumbak Part 2 OTT Release Date: The wait for the second part of Netflix’s Hindi comedy series Chumbak is almost over. The second batch of episodes is set to arrive on October 1, according to a report by Variety India, as reported by The Times of India. The first eight episodes were released on September 10, so there’s less than a month between the two parts. Netflix currently lists Chumbak as a 16-episode comedy series.
The show takes viewers into Chumbak Colony in Mumbai, where five families live close to each other. Their personal problems, marriages and everyday arguments often become everyone’s business. The series is written and directed by Aatish Kapadia and produced by JD Majethia.

The new episodes will continue the stories of the families and bring more problems into the colony. Friendships between the neighbours will face new pressure as several family issues start getting mixed together.
Rajni, played by Neena Gupta, and Kuku, played by Deven Bhojani, will also try to bring some peace between the families. At the same time, the relationship between Twinkle and her husband Mickey, played by Helly Shah and Arjun Bijlani, will face more trouble. The second part is expected to deal with more secrets and misunderstandings as the neighbours get pulled deeper into each other’s lives.
Arjun Bijlani, who plays Mickey, teased what viewers can expect from the upcoming episodes. He told the outlet, “If you thought Part 1 was chaotic, Part 2 takes it several notches higher. Everyone’s forced to face the secrets they’ve been sitting on, and the fallout is even more entertaining than the build-up.”
Chumbak has a large ensemble cast. Along with Neena Gupta, Deven Bhojani, Helly Shah and Arjun Bijlani, the series stars Manasi Parekh, Sumeet Vyas, Sumeet Raghavan, Sandeepa Dhar, Anant Joshi, Amyra Dastur, Delnaaz Irani and Atul Kumar.

Helly Shah had earlier spoken about trying comedy for the first time. During an exclusive conversation with Zoom before the show’s release, she said, “I’m very excited for [Chumbak] because I never knew that I could do something like that. Comedy is very difficult, and that’s my first time attempting it and being able to do that with such a great cast. I’m genuinely so happy that people will get to see a different side of me.”
The show also reunites Helly Shah with her Gullak 5 co-star Anant Joshi. In Chumbak, Joshi plays Freddy Taraporewala, a Parsi character. He spoke about taking on the role and said, “I get to play first time a Parsi character. I have no connection with Bombay; I didn’t grow up here. But somebody trusted me to play an out-and-out Parsi boy, which was so fascinating, to have their dialect. It is so funny. Don’t trust me, but trust Aatish Kapadia and his writing.”
