At least 9 people were killed and 20 others are feared trapped under debris after the roof of a bus stand collapsed in Somanur on the city outskirts on Thursday.
As per the preliminary reports, the roof of the shed at the bus stand abruptly collapsed on commuters. It is about 25 kms from Coimbatore, they said.
According to the police, there could be more casualties as several people are still trapped under the debris. Rescue operations are underway.
