Coronavirus in MP: Doctor tests positive, 38 new cases takes Bhopal’s tally to 1,038

Bhopal: The capital city of Madhya Pradesh reported 38 new positive cases on Sunday, taking the city’s total tally of Covid-19 cases to 1,038 and death tally to 38.

A doctor from a private hospital located at Bhanpur, who was treating patients till May 10 tested positive for Covid-19. The doctor was not treating coronavirus patients. He got himself tested after developing symptoms of the virus. A team of 10 members of the medical practitioners has now tested for the virus. They have been admitted to a private hospital in Bairagarh. Fatehgarh area has been declared a containment zone by the administration. Another medical practitioner linked to Arera Hills facility has also tested positive.

Bhadbhada area has also been deemed as a containment zone after a policeman from the 25th battalion tested positive.

10 new cases were reported from Jehangirabad area, 4 cases from Mangalwara and 5 cases from Jatkhedi area in the last three days.
