Coronavirus India live updates: The number of coronavirus cases in India has reached 67,152. So far, 2,206 have lost their lives due to the infection. Maharashtra alone accounts for over 20,000 infections. The death toll has gone past 2,000.

The Prime Minister is discussing the next stage in the exit from the nationwide lockdown with CMs on further easing restrictions on economic activities.

Barring containment zones, economic activities should be allowed to resume in Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal said at PM-CMs meet.

Bihar CM Nitish Kumar asks Centre’s support for Covid-19 testing facilities. He also recommended that the lockdown should continue till May-end so that whosoever are coming back can be quarantined and recover.

Train movement should not be allowed, I suggest this as a former railway minister, he said.

As the nationwide coronavirus lockdown 3.0 is scheduled to end on May 17, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with Chief Ministers of various states via video conference on Monday (May 11) afternoon. According to reports, the Prime Minister will review India’s progress in containing coronavirus disease while gradually restarting economic activities in a phased manner.

As per MHA guideline, a copy of the online railway ticket will act as your emergency pass, if you are travelling in your cab no pass is needed even for the driver who is going to drop the passenger. But they have to follow states guideline like not more than 2 passengers in a cab etc. If anybody does not have a conveyance of his own, MHA or Railways have nothing to say. Respective states may answer will they arrange or not.

326 stranded people return from London, taken to quarantine centres

As many as 326 people stuck in London due to the COVID-19 lockdown arrived at the Kempegowda International Airport here in the early hours of Monday. After their arrival by an Air India evacuation flight at 4.45 am, a team of corona warriors checked the passengers' health condition before letting them go to the designated quarantine centres. All the 326 passengers were found to be asymptomatic and put up in hotels as chosen by them, a senior Karnataka government official said. The state administration has designated certain resorts and hotels as quarantine centres, especially for those stranded in foreign countries.
