Coronavirus outbreak: AMU postpones admission/departmental exams scheduled in April

Coronavirus cases are on a rise and many Indian states have opted for lockdown over the growing concerns. Now in wake of it, Aligarh Muslim University have postponed the admission and departmental exams which were to take place in the month of April.

In a circular issued by the university, they have mentioned the exams with the dates, which now have been cancelled. They also said that the fresh dates of the exams will be notified on the official website of the university after looking into the evolving situation.

Earlier, Aligarh Muslim University on Thursday postponed all university examinations scheduled till April 2 in view of the coronavirus pandemic. The university has advised students residing in hostels to not panic and take every precaution while travelling to their home.

So far, not a single case of coronavirus has been reported from the JLN medical college hospital, AMU, or any other government hospital in the city.

Uttar Pradesh has 25 confirmed cases followed by Rajasthan with 23. This number includes nine people who tested positive for novel coronavirus in Uttar Pradesh have been treated as compared to three people in Rajasthan who were discharged after undergoing treatment.
