The Coronavirus pandemic has engulfed a lot of people with enormous casualties. As far as the sporting world is concerned it had its casualties too.With the usual scare of the virus claiming almost 9000 lives and more than 22,000 coming in grips of it.
The pandemic has had its repercussions in the sporting world as big leagues like the UEFA Champions League and the Indian Premier League were cancelled due to it.
A lot of these sportspeople who were tested positive has been advised to be in-home quarantine for some time and start playing when their health seems to be good.
Cricket has been relatively safe from COVID 19, only some media reports emerged of English cricketer Alex Hales having the disease. He left Pakistan Super League (PSL) after having high fever.
Football has also faced its relative casualties. But the biggest drawback of COVID19 will be the cancelling of the Champions League. Fans will be heartbroken to see one of their favourite leagues getting cancelled.
The NBA also had its fair share of casualties. Star Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant testing positive was a major heartbreak for NBA fans.
No drivers in the Formula 1 has been tested positive as of now, but the first four races have been called off after a McLaren team member contacted the COVID19 virus just before the Australian Grand Prix.
