Delhi: 6 dead, several in ICU after massive fire breaks out at a Zakir Nagar building

In a tragic incident, a massive fire broke out at a multi-storey building in Delhi’s Zakir Nagar on Monday night at about 2 AM, leaving six people including two children dead while several injured.

The fire broke out at a five-storey building located in Zakir Nagar, a heavily-populated area near Jamia Millia Islamia University in the national capital.

Going by the reports, around 20 people were rescued from the spot. Among the injured are those who jumped off the building to save themselves. The injured have been taken to a nearby hospital. Two fire-fighters are among the injured.

Around seven cars and eight motorcycles were burnt in the blaze.
