Delhi: ‘March 23’ hottest day in national capital in 7 years

As the maximum temperature rose to settle at 37.4 degrees Celsius, the Thursday was a hottest day in the national capital in March since the past seven years. The highest temperature was seven marks above the season’s average while the minimum temperature was noted at 18.4 degrees, said a Met department official.

“The day temperature settled at 37.4 degrees Celsius, seven notches above the season’s average, which is the hottest March day witnessed since 2010 when the day temperature was recorded at 39.2 degrees,” said the official.

“The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover at 37 and 19 degrees Celsius respectively,” the official added. The minimum and maximum temperatures were recorded at 18.2 and 35.7 degrees Celsius respectively, on Wednesday.
