Delhi: MS Dhoni rescued from hotel fire in Dwarka

Former India cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was rescued from a fire in a hotel in Delhi’s Dwarka neighborhood this morning. No casualties were reported in the fire so far, said Delhi Fire Services.

The officials got a call around 6:30 am that alerted them about the fire inside the Welcome Hotel in Dwarka. Around 30 fire tenders were deployed to the spot and the fire was brought under control.

Cricketer Dhoni is in the city with his Jharkhand team for the Vijay Hazare Trophy semi-final. The team’s kit were burnt thus the match has been postponed for tomorrow.

The Dhoni-led Jharkhand team made it to the semifinals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy after a wonderful performance at the Palam Ground on Wednesday.
