Ending almost a decade long hunt, a special cell cops arrested Delhi’s most-wanted gangster, Satyawan Sehrawat, alias Sonu Dariyapur. Sonu was a threat among businessmen for his extortion calls. He was wanted for more than half-a-dozen killings.
Sonu allegedly planned the sensational murders of his enemy gangster Monu Dariyapur. He was shot dead along with two others at a west Delhi market. Another criminal was killed in a Rohtak court.
Sonu was operating for years without cops getting any hint of his whereabouts. He had a reward of Rs 5 lakh on his head, the highest for any criminal in Delhi.
Police commissioner Amulya Patnaik said, “It was a meticulously planned operation. The team showed extreme perseverance and hard work over the months which finally produced results,” he told TOI.
