The match 53 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 will be going to take place between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur on Saturday, May 4.
For Rajasthan, it will be all about winning their last group game and keeping hopes alive of qualifying for the playoffs. The rain affected game against Royal Challengers Bangalore didn’t help their case as they had to share a point. But what has been done cannot be undone and the Royals will look to move forward and stamp their authority over DC.
On the other side, Delhi Capitals return to the Feroz Shah Kotla to play their final group game of the 12th edition of the Indian Premier League in what has been a terrific season for them. Having already qualified for the playoffs, the last game against Rajasthan Royals will be all about winning and sealing one of the top two spots in the points table.
DC vs RR is going to be played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. The conditions aren’t going to be easy for the players with the sun beating down hard. The temperature is likely to be in the 40s with no possibility of rain according to Accuweather.
The Kotla surface always manages to hog the limelight. It should play decent for both batters and bowlers while a score around 160 should be par as the ball will turn later on. The pitch always has a few cracks and with the afternoon heat, it will open up during the second innings.
Kagiso Rabada has been ruled out of the tournament with a back niggle.
