Delhi University increases intake of differently-abled students

Delhi University is soon going to implement Right of Person with Disabilities Act 2016 in its admission guidelines, for admission into its various courses.The move is aimed at strengthening and facilitating the admission of disabled students. The quota will be increased from 3% to 5%.

Students with Thalassaemia and Haemophilia will also benefit from this Act.

Any kind of physical or mental disability will be attended to by this Act. The admission guidelines are explained in details in the Act.

All the colleges of Delhi University award scholarships to disabled students, so that they don’t have to face any financial instability. Students can apply for such scholarships post admission. The scholarship amounts to Rs 3,000 INR, cutting down mess expense by half and the course fee becomes zero.
