Even before the dusts of E-tender Scam could settle, another big corruption scam has started making headlines in Madhya Pradesh. The new disclosures in e-Tender scam just a few months ahead of elections could be really dangerous for the BJP in the poll-bounded Madhya Pradesh. The e-tender scam involves large-scale manipulation of the online procurement platform of the Madhya Pradesh government to favour some particular private companies.

So far, the tender of Rs.3 thousand crore has been canceled in this 30 thousand crore scam and it is suspected that the fraud has been going on for years. However, the process of allocation of old tenders is yet to be done. The e-tender case has been referred to Chief Secretary BP Singh by hacking. He has ordered the Economic Offenses Wing (EOD) to file an FIR in this scandal. EOW, however, is not considering hacking the scandal. In its first investigation, EODW has found that it is a planned scam and no hacking has been done.

According to sources, EOW can file a case against some companies and officials related to the scam. After the e-tendering scam has come to the fore, the tenders allotted to 9 companies have been canceled so far. The companies which were working for e-tenders have also been made accused in this scam. So far, irregularities have been reported in the tenders of Water Corporation, Water Resources Department, Public Works Department, Road Development Corporation. Now EOW will screw up the officers of these departments.

Following the orders of Madhya Pradesh Chief Secretary BP Singh, all 9 tenders were handed over to the Economic Afford Wing for investigation. An EOW official has estimated a sum of Rs. 3000 crores. EOD Madhu Kumar of EOW said that ‘the case is in a serious phase of investigation.’ Sources have revealed that 9 TB data related to the tendering of MPSEDC has been seized.

In a statement, TCS has refused to join any of its employees in this scam. Interservices also said that they have responded to the show-cause notice. The disturbance has happened in the application but not from the outside.
