Ex-Karnataka Chief Minister SM Krishna will be joining the Bharatiya Janta Party on Wednesday. The sweeping victories combined with the association of eminent leader, BJP’s popularity seems to be escalating every second. The 84-year-old was scheduled to join the BJP on March 15 which had to be postponed due to a death in the family.

Krishna had resigned from the Congress party alleging that the party was in a state of confusion over the need of a mass leader. He had been the Chief Minister of Karnataka from 1999-2004. He was also the External Affairs Minister in 2012 after which he made a comeback in mainstream state-politics.

The ex-Karnataka CM, who has also served as the Governor of Maharashtra, will be sworn into the BJP in the presence of its national president Amit Shah, leaders like Ananth Kumar and R Ashok from Karnataka.
