‘The game has just begun’ was the one phrase Arnab Goswami, Editor-in-Chief and President (News) of Times Now and ET Now repeated several times in an informal meeting attended by about 50 staff members of the channel where he announced his resignation.

According to reports Goswami resigned from the post as he wanted to start something on his own. It has been said that Arnab Goswami may have been in discussions with another organisation to set up a new television and digital news venture for the past six months.

Reports suggest that the senior journalist might be starting a news channel with politician and entrepreneur Rajeev Chandrasekhar and American media baron Rupert Murdoch.

Aditya Raj Kaul, foreign affairs correspondent of Times Now says, “Many in the fraternity who are referring to a mere departure as a demise do not know what he is capable of because of some strong principles and an everlasting zeal for hardcore journalism.” Kaul claims that most exciting times for Indian media begin now as Arnab says, the game has just begun.

Here is how Arnab bid adieu to his team –
