General Election 2024 Dates LIVE Updates: In a post on X, the poll body said the dates for the general and state assembly elections would be announced at 3 pm today.

There will be a new Lok Sabha constituted before June 16th. The tenures of the Andhra Pradesh, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, and Odisha assemblies will also end that month.

In the upcoming elections, nearly 97 crore people are eligible to vote.

In the last parliamentary elections, the BJP won 303 seats, while the Congress won 52 seats, not enough to claim the position of Leader of the Opposition.

As INDIA fights to stop the BJP’s run in the upcoming elections, the upcoming polls are extremely crucial.

KS Eshwarappa, a senior BJP leader, announced on Friday that he will run as an independent candidate for Shimoga in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
