Goa: Two Congress supporters arrested for threatening Election Commission squad

The Panaji police have arrested two congress supporters after they received a complaint by a flying squad member of the EC that he was threatened by a group of three members while they were removing congress flags on Friday.

The Election Commission panel had received a complaint on the mobile app stating that some people were trying to put a flag of the Congress party. When they reached the spot to seize the flags, the group abused them, restricted and threatened them for doing so.

A video of the same also went viral on social media.

The squad member Manoj Mor filed a complaint immediately stating that he was threatened by the threesome while he was carrying out his duty.

Panaji police told that they have arrested two of the members, one on Friday night and the other on Saturday morning.

Opposition party BJP termed the incident unfortunate and alerted the people that Gundagardi will win of Congress comes to power.

 Vishnu Naik, BJP Panaji mandal general secretary condemns the incident and said a similar incident happened before Manohar Parrikar reign started.
