Gobindpur Assembly Constituency 2025: Gobindpur is a rural assembly located on the bank of the Sakri River, thus very often it is affected with floods. The area is made of several villages, with a significant population of Dalit and Muslim communities, which have been the strong supporters of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). The constituency was made up of about 309,739 electors during the 2020 elections.
The primary problems of the area are poor management of floods, bad road conditions, and limited availability of healthcare and education facilities. These problems have been the center of the electoral discourse, determining voter preferences and party strategies.
Gobindpur has seen the evolution of a situation of fierce political competition, with the Indian National Congress (INC) and RJD being the main opponents. The INC has traditionally been very strong in the area, and has won the seat on numerous occasions. However, the RJD has been on the up and up over the last few years, and this trend has been confirmed by the results of the last election.
