Gold Price Today Rises in India
Gold Rates in Delhi: The price of 24-karat gold has hit an all-time high in New Delhi, rising by Rs 1,650 to reach Rs 98,100 per 10 grams. This sharp rise happened due to people around the world buying gold as a safe investment. The reason behind this sudden rush is the growing trade conflict between the United States and China, which has made global markets unstable.
The All India Sarafa Association said that gold with 99.9% purity was priced at Rs 96,450 on Tuesday. But on Wednesday, the price jumped to a new record. This year alone, the price of gold has gone up by Rs 18,710, which is about a 23.56% increase. At the start of the year, gold was priced at Rs 79,390. Gold with 99.5% purity also saw a big rise of Rs 1,650, reaching a new high of Rs 97,650, NDTV reportes.

Jateen Trivedi, who is the vice president and research analyst at LKP Securities, said, “Gold showed a solid rally once again… as MCX gold hit landmark levels of Rs 95,000, while Comex gold surpassed $3,300, reflecting strong safe-haven demand.” He explained that the price hike happened because of tensions between the US and China and no clear signs of improvement in trade talks. He added that until there is some positive update, gold prices will likely stay high.
Globally, the spot price of gold also touched a record high of $3,318 per ounce. Kaynat Chainwala, assistant vice president for commodities research at Kotak Securities, said, “Gold surged to a record high, driven by growing trade war concerns after the US government tightened export rules to China.”

US President Donald Trump added more worry by starting an investigation about putting tariffs on critical minerals. This move increased fears in the market.
Chintan Mehta, CEO of Abans Financial Services, said that the drop in the US dollar also helped gold prices go higher. He said that the US dollar index fell below 100, which is close to its three-year low. He believes that hopes of a possible interest rate cut are pushing gold prices up, and investors are closely watching what US Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell will say next.
“As the Federal Reserve navigates the twin challenges of supporting economic growth while managing tariff-driven inflation, the current macro environment continues to offer strong support for gold,” Mehta added.
