Gold Rate Today June 06: Gold prices stayed under pressure on June 6, with soft global sentiment and a firmer US dollar weighing on precious metals. On MCX, gold futures traded lower, while spot gold prices in the international market kept sliding after stronger-than-expected US economic reports reduced optimism around near-term interest rate cuts. Some analysts think investors are watching closely, the bigger global macro picture, crude oil prices and how central banks signal next moves for fresh cues in bullion markets.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), gold futures were seen around ₹1,54,000–₹1,55,000 per 10 grams. In earlier sessions, gold futures slipped nearly 0.5%, as traders did profit booking when US Treasury yields rose and the dollar firmed up.
Gold and Silver Rates, 5 June: RBI Policy Impact, MCX Gold Down 1%, Silver Slides 2%
Spot gold was trading near $4,341 per ounce on June 6 continuing to slip after strong U.S. jobs data which pushed the dollar higher and made investors lean further toward higher interest rates. The precious metal stays under pressure because market participants keep rethinking what the Federal Reserve might do while also watching geopolitics and the broader inflation picture.
Silver prices also remained under pressure alongside gold. Domestic silver rates hovered around ₹2.75 lakh per kilogram after witnessing mild profit-booking in recent sessions.
