Surendranagar: In a shocking incident, Congress leader Hardik Patel was slapped during a public meeting in here on Friday morning. He was slapped during a Jan Aakrosh Sabha.
In a video, that is now viral on the internet, a man could be seen walking on the stage upto Patel and slap him. Reportedly, the man who attacked Patel has been detained.
Man who slapped Patel was admitted to hospital after being thrashed following the incident. “My wife was pregnant when Patidar agitation happened, she was undergoing treatment at a hospital, I had faced problems then, I had decided then, I’ll hit this man. I have to teach him a lesson anyhow,” he was quoted as saying by a news agency.
Hardik Patel has failed police complaint in the case.
