Gully Boy box office collection day 6: Ranveer-Alia starrer nears 100 crore club

Ranveer and Alia’s Gully Boy remains strong even on the sixth day of its release. The movie is shinning at the box office and now the movie has crossed the 80 crore mark on the sixth day.

The hefty collection of the film is not unexpected, courtesy strong buzz and hype around the film. Zoya Akhtar’s directorial film has collected 7 crores approx on its sixth day as per the early estimates.

The total collection of the film stands 88 crores approx in six days. The film is expected to cross the 100 crore mark by the end of the week.

The film is based on a slum rapper from Mumbai who wants to rise above his socio-economic status to become a star. The film is inspired from two street rappers Divine and Naezy.

Special screening of the film was also held in Mumbai. The actors have received many appreciations for their performance from their families as well as the audience.

International rap artist Will Smith also praised Ranveer’s performance in Gully Boy. In a video, Will congratulated Ranveer and said, “Yo, Ranveer! Congrats, man! I am loving what you are doing with Gully Boy. For me, old school hip-hop here, seeing hip-hop all over the world like that… I am loving it, man. Congrats, go get ’em,” he is heard saying in the clip.

Zoya Akhtar directorial film also stars Kalki Koechlin, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Vijay Raaz and Amruta Subhash in important roles.
