Himachal Pradesh: “How many corpses will you see?”, BJP MLA slams own minister over school bus accidents

MLA from Nurpur, BJP MLA Rakesh Pathania questioned his own party minister regarding school bus accidents taking place in Himachal Pradesh. The MLA said, “It is time to be serious now, minister ji, how many corpses will you see?”

Congress MLA Vinay Kumar had raised the recent incident of the school bus accident following which Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that government will further investigate the matter.

On January 5, six students including the bus driver, died when a private school bus rolled down a deep gorge in Himachal Pradesh’s Sirmaur district. The bus was transporting the children to the DAV Public School in the district’s Sangrah town, when it skidded off the road.

Another incident took place in November in which a bus along with 31 people, which included 12 children, fell into a gorge in Himachal Pradesh’ Bilaspur district. The bus was a private entity, carrying school and college students, from Marotan to Bhaged. According to the reports, the accident occurred when the front wheel of the bus came off after which the bus fell into the gorge.
