Home minister Rajnath Singh to inaugurate two-day ‘Civil Services Day’ today

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate a two-day Civil Services Day event in New Delhi on Thursday. The opening session will be followed by a plenary session. Chaired by Minister of State, Ministry of Personnel Jitendra Singh, the plenary session will be on creating value through human capital management in government.

Besides, there will be three separate sessions on subjects linked to agriculture, energy and skill development and entrepreneurship. The key event will be held tomorrow, on the occasion of Civil Services Day.

PM Narendra Modi will confer the Prime Minister’s awards for Excellence in Public Administration to Districts and other Central and State organisations. The awards will be bestowed for effective implementation of Programmes and Innovation.

The awards have been introduced to acknowledge, identify and reward the work and innovative efforts put by districts and organizations of the Central and State governments for the well-being of common people.
