In a heinous crime, two men allegedly killed a woman after she resisted rape and then had sex with her body. The incident happened in Bareilly’s CB Ganj area on 3 October. After the duo committed the crime, they left her body in a paddy field. They have been arrested.
“We arrested one Rinku (20) and Sarju (19) from their house at Sarania village in the morning today (Monday). We have also recovered the woman’s mobile phone from their possession,” said Rohit Singh Sajwan, Superintendent of Police, Bareilly, as quoted by Hindustan Times.
According to the accused, they attacked the woman, a mother of four, with a wooden stick and had intercourse as she fell unconscious and died, the police claimed. The police have also recovered the blood smeared eucalyptus stick.
Reportedly, the accused were planning to flee the district but were tracked by the police.“The (woman’s) phone was put on mobile surveillance which helped us track down the accused,” the officer said.
The duo will be produced in court today.
