Hyderabad Metro turns one, starts trial on Ameerpet – Hitec City stretch

On the day when the Hyderabad metro turned 1, the launch of Metro-III corridor took place. Trial runs took place on the Ameerpet – Hitec City length began on Thursday.

The stretch on which the trial runs took place is of 10 km length. There are eight stations in the stretch, namely, Madhura Nagar, Yousufguda, Jubilee Hills Road No.5, Jubilee Hills Check Post, Peddammagudi, Madhapur, Durgam Cheruvu and Hitec City.

The team of engineers was led by L&T MRHL MD NVS Reddy and HMRL MD KVB Reddy. Over the trial run, various parameters were noted.

Two-line track functionality is present instead of the usual two-single-line way. The method is used globally. The line would take a few months to accommodate stations beyond Hitec City Metro station.
