IBPS Recruitment 2026: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has now pushed the online application deadline for the Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for Probationary Officers/Management Trainees (PO/MT-XVI) and also for Specialist Officers (SPL-XVI). Eligible candidates can submit their applications on the official IBPS website until July 26, 2026.
This change is coming after the earlier application window was planned to end on July 21. IBPS shared the revised closing date via an official update on its own website, so candidates who couldn’t finish things before the prior cut-off can still complete the process.
As per the most recent IBPS update, the last date to apply online for CRP PO/MT-XVI and CRP SPL-XVI has been moved to July 26, 2026. The same extension is also valid for editing application details and for paying the online application fee.
Candidates should avoid waiting till the last day, because portal traffic can get really heavy and that might cause delays while completing registration or verifying the steps.
The recruitment drive is open to eligible graduates seeking appointments as Probationary Officers/Management Trainees and Specialist Officers in participating public sector banks. Applicants must satisfy the educational qualifications, age criteria and other eligibility conditions prescribed in the detailed notification before submitting their applications.
The registration fee varies depending on the candidates’ categories. Those from the General and other applicable categories have to pay Rs 850, while candidates from SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) categories need to pay Rs 175.

2. On the homepage, click on the BPS Recruitment 2026 application link.
3. Enter basic details to register. You will get your login details at your registered email address.
4. Log in using the above credentials and fill in your application details.
5. Upload mandatory documents in the prescribed format.
6. Pay the application fee and submit the form.
The online registration window, which opened on July 1, 2026, will now remain active until July 26, 2026. The same deadline applies to online fee payment and modification of application details. As per the tentative schedule, the preliminary examinations for both PO and SO posts are expected to be held in August 2026, followed by the subsequent stages of the recruitment process.
