Age Limit: As of August 23, 2023, applicants for the GDS job must be between the ages of 18 and 40.

Educational Requirements: Applicants must have passed the Secondary School Examination of Class 10 with a passing certificate in Mathematics and English (studied as either required or optional subjects) from any Board recognised by the Government of India/State Governments/Union Territories. Also, anyone who applied for a GDS job in one of the approved categories had to have studied their local language at least through the secondary level (either as a required topic or as an option).
