As the sport calendar is missing out on every player due to the spread of coronavirus. The sports players are now bound to stay home and most of them are not able to go through their rigorous training.
However, sportspersons are also getting to spend their time with their family. In this aspect, Indian archers Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das made the most of their time away from the game and tied the knot in Jharkhand’s capital city, Ranchi on Tuesday (June 30).
To counter the spread of the deadly virus and follow the strict social distancing norms, the guests were invited in different time slots. The first lot needed to bless the couple and leave by 7 pm and were followed by the second batch, who checked-in and left in one and half an hour.
Archers Association of India’s (AAI) newly-elected president Arjun Munda — who also happens to be a former Jharkhand chief minister — has played a big role in shaping Deepika’s career. Hence, he was also part of the wedding and even performed the Kanyadaan ritual.
