Four senior doctors received injuries after they were attacked by a patient’s relatives who died at Ranchi Trust Hospital, according to the hospital management on Friday, June 21.
The victims are medical superintendent Dr A K Singh, Dr Om Prakash Mahansaria, Dr SK Sinha, and Dr Nijam, Hindustan Times reported.
On Thursday evening, a patient who drowned in Patratu Dam was brought to the hospital. The management said Dr AK Singh immediately attended the patient who was brought in after he drowned in Patratu Dam. Later, the patient’s relatives gathered and began shouting slogans. Dr Singh was thrashed by the people. When the other doctors tried to rescue Mr Singh, they were also attacked.
