Jharkhand Free UPSC and JPSC Coaching: Jharkhand has started a free coaching plan for tribal students who want to prepare for UPSC and JPSC exams. The help is for candidates from Scheduled Tribes and Primitive Tribal Groups. The coaching will be run by the Dr. Ram Dayal Munda Tribal Welfare Research Institute, also called TRI, which works under the state Welfare Department.
The institute’s official website already lists an “Application Form for JPSC Civil Service (Mains) Exam Guidance Program” in its “What’s New” section. Interested students can download the form from the institute website and submit it by 5:00 PM on July 16, 2026.

The state wants more tribal youth in civil services. Many of these students face money trouble and study problems while getting ready for hard exams like UPSC and JPSC. Under this programme, selected students will be taught by experienced teachers linked to known civil services coaching centres across India. The coaching is non-residential, so students will not stay in a hostel or camp.
Only students from ST and PTG groups can apply for this coaching. The selection will not be random. TRI will look at Class 10 marks, Class 12 marks, graduation marks, any earlier attempt in civil services exams, and the economic condition of the applicant. Students from weaker financial backgrounds will get priority. This means the programme is trying to help the most needy students first. The institute has kept the process open online through its official site so eligible candidates can apply on time.
The last date is fixed and there is no change announced in the notice. Applications must reach TRI by 5:00 PM on July 16, 2026. The form can be downloaded from the official website of the Tribal Research Institute. TRI is a long-running state research body in Ranchi. Its official site says it was established in 1953 and works on research, training and publication related to Scheduled Tribes in Jharkhand.

Jharkhand State Open University has finished a two-day workshop on employability, skill building and career readiness. On the final day, experts spoke about new job chances, future work needs and how students can build better professional skills.
The university also said five new courses and skill development programmes will come in the next academic session. Its official site shows that JSOU already runs skill-linked and work-integrated programmes across Jharkhand, and it says the university is focused on open education and practical access for students across the state.
Vice-Chancellor Dr. Abhay Kumar Singh said such programmes will continue in the future so that young people can become more job-ready and self-reliant. Certificates were given to the teachers and coordinators by Registrar Dr. Jitendra Kumar Singh and Dr. Rajesh Khambayat. The event was also attended by Controller of Examinations Dr. Dilip Sahu and other faculty members and officials including Khemlal and Shahid.
