Jharkhand Kanyadaan Yojana: The Jharkhand government has launched a scheme named Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana whereby eligible girls belonging to economically weaker sections are offered a grant of Rs. 30,000 to help ease their marriage costs.

This scheme is still active in 2026. Recently, the scheme was implemented in Palamau district. As per the report dated October 24, 2026, a total of 144 beneficiaries have received the assistance under this scheme during the Financial Year 2026-27. However, the administration has set a target of assisting 439 beneficiaries.

Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana

The Mukhyamantri Kanyadaan Yojana is a scheme launched by the government of Jharkhand to assist eligible families from weaker sections with the expenses they incur during their daughter’s marriage.

The eligible beneficiaries receive Rs. 30,000 as assistance which is directly transferred into the savings account of the girl as per the rules. The government has stressed on assisting eligible families.
