“Practice what you preach” should be the new mantra of our Bollywood actress Parineeti Chopra. Earlier known for her “unconventional plump body type” and breaking the “body image” along with Vidya Balan and Sonakshi Sinha, Chopra on various occasions has spoken at length about being okay with one’s body type. She has now disappointed her own fans as she is being accused of body shaming her own friend, something she’s fought herself for a very long time.
“If you yourself are not comfortable about your body, do something about it. If you are comfortable, let it be. Other people have no right to comment anyway,” said Parineeti Chopra earlier this year after her “Built that way” campaign which brought out a fitter, leaner version of her. Interacting with the media she had claimed to be a “foodie” and had said, “being a Punjabi, there’s no stopping me if I want to eat something.”
But sadly enough, junior PC still has to go a long way before she can actually come out of the “body shaming culture” as a video of her has surfaced online wherein the actor can be seen giving a ‘friendly advice.’ The video is captured by Chopra herself while travelling with Alia Bhat, the two seem to be wishing a friend a happy birthday. When Alia Bhat asks the actress if she has another message for the friend, Chopra advises the friend to lose weight.
Her fans however were not amused by this video and took to twitter to express their disapproval.
