Kabul: Eight civilians killed in suicide bombing

At least eight civilians were killed in a suicide bombing in Kabul city on Wednesday morning at Abdul Haq square in Macroyan. The target of the attack was a convoy of foreign troops, said the Interior Ministry. The incident left at least 25 people injured.

Reportedly, the injured were taken to the Wazir Akbar Khan Hospital. One of the patrol vehicles of the foreign troops was smashed in the fatal incident.  So far, no group has claimed the responsibility for the attack.

As per the eyewitnesses, an old man, sitting next to the road, has carried the attack.

Notably, the incident comes just days after the Taliban declared its spring offensive. The terror group vowed to perform more attacks on government and security officials and institutions.
