Bengaluru: Karnataka II PUC examination results will be declared before July 8 while SSLC results will be announced by July end, Primary and Secondary Education Minister Suresh Kumar informed.
Meanwhile, Suresh, who presided over the meeting, learned that many schools in the state are seeking permission to conduct 10-day preparatory classes and will make decisions based on the Union government’s recommendations.
He further said that the department is ready to change the exam centre if it falls within containment zones.
SSLC exams will be conducted from June 25 to July 3 and the pending PU-II English paper is scheduled for June 18.
Suresh mentioning 2020 as a corona year, said that the department will conduct meetings to decide on decreasing the school syllabus and holding of classes in shifts or on alternate days to maintain social distancing to contain the spread of the COVID-19.
He also warned that strict action would be taken against the schools which hike fees for the academic year in violation of the government’s directions.
