Shutdown for the 83rd day, Kashmir witnesses yet another ‘normal’ day. Torn between two extremes, the killing fields of Kashmir mask those of Palestine. Home to one of the largest military occupation in the world, the valley has witnessed widespread unrest and violence in the wake of encounter of Burhan Wani, the Hizbul Mujaheedin commander. Hundreds arrested, thousands missing and many blinded, this wave of protests has definitely highlighted the dismal scenario of Kashmir. Here is an insight into the everyday life of Kashmir captured by a local photojournalist- Idrees Mir.
