On the polling day in Srinagar on Sunday, more than 100 civilians severely injured with bullets and pellet guns were admitted for treatment at Srinagar hospitals.
At least three youth with “critical injuries” were being treated in the hospitals across the city while 11 youth were being treated for bullet injuries and another 60 persons for pellet injuries. At least 20 of pellet victims had injures in eyes, Greater Kashmir reported.
Security personnel have killed 8 people during the clashes in the by-poll for Lok Sabha, which recorded a mere 6.5% voter turnout.

At Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) in Srinagar, around 50 injured persons were brought for treatment. Of them 11 were admitted. Doctors said at least two bullet hit youth were admitted at the hospital. Three of the injured had head trauma, Greater Kashmir reported citing hospital staff as source.
