Kia Seltos 2026 Model Leaks: The automotive world is buzzing because the next-generation Kia Seltos is all set to make its global debut on 10 December 2025 in South Korea, a major milestone for a model that has already made a strong mark since its India launch in 2019.
Given how popular Seltos has been in India and other markets, this next-gen version could set a new benchmark in the compact-SUV category.
From the recent images and reports:
The upcoming Seltos moves to a more boxy, upright, and muscular stance, departing from the smoother, more conservative lines of the current generation. This design shift is in line with Kia’s global “Opposites United” design philosophy, seen on newer SUVs in their lineup.
Up front, the SUV appears to get slim vertical LED DRLs, a redesigned grille, squarish headlamp housings, and a broader bumper with possibly revamped fog-lamp/air-vent placements.
From the rear, spy shots hint at connected LED taillights possibly a continuous lightbar and updated tail-lamp design, giving a modern EV-inspired vibe even in this internal combustion model.
Even though many images are camouflaged, it’s clear that the alloy wheels, exterior paneling, and overall proportions are different, the Seltos seems to be taking a more aggressive, premium-SUV inspiration rather than sticking to soft mid-SUV styling.
The cabin is expected to get a radically redesigned layout with likely more premium touches. There are strong hints that dual large screens (infotainment + digital instrument cluster) could be on offer.
Speculation suggests better rear legroom, more boot space, and improved materials which would make it more competitive in its class.
On the feature front, given global trends, we might see modern features like ambient lighting, updated HVAC/climate controls, and perhaps ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), especially if the camera/sensor housing spotted in spy shots is any indication.

One of the biggest talking points about the new Seltos is its expected powertrain upgrades:
In addition to the familiar 1.5-litre petrol (naturally aspirated & turbo) and 1.5-litre diesel engines, the upcoming Seltos will reportedly get a strong-hybrid powertrain, a first for the model globally.
For international markets, this hybrid option will broaden its appeal to those looking for better fuel efficiency and smoother performance.
For India, Kia might retain the existing engines initially, with the hybrid variant possibly following after, depending on market strategy and emissions/norms compliance.
While the global debut is locked for 10 December 2025 in Korea, the India launch is expected sometime in early 2026.
Given how many spy tests have already been spotted on Indian roads, it seems likely Kia isn’t wasting time before bringing the new generation to key markets.
