LPG Cylinder Price Hiked Today (April 1, 2026): On April 1 2026 India experienced another increase in LPG prices when oil marketing companies raised their commercial LPG cylinder rates while maintaining their domestic cooking gas rates. The current price changes show ongoing fluctuations in worldwide energy markets which result from political conflicts in West Asia.
Across major cities, the cost of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders has increased by ₹195.50, which represents another significant price increase in 2026. Reports indicate that Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, and other metropolitan areas experienced similar price increases.
The commercial cylinder prices have now risen for four consecutive months with total increases reaching almost ₹500 since the previous four-month period.
As of April 1 2026 domestic LPG prices for 14.2 kg cylinders remain stable despite the rising commercial LPG rates.

These rates have remained stable since the ₹60 hike implemented earlier in March 2026.

The current domestic LPG prices do not create any financial difficulties for households.
The LPG price change on April 1 2026 will create new expenses which will affect only commercial users. The domestic market remains protected from present commercial LPG price increases which will eventually create economic impacts that affect both food and service industries.
