Madhya Pradesh: BJP MLA’ electricity connection cut after he failed to pay bill for 9 months

Maihar: The electricity department here on Sunday, December 1 cut the electricity connection of Maihar’ BJP Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Narayan Tripathi.

According to media reports, the MLA has not paid his office’ electricity bill for 9 months and has an outstanding amount of Rs 60,000.

Reportedly, when Mr Tripathi contested elections, he had submitted NOC in Election Commission and had paid the bill. Since, his electricity bills have remained unpaid. His office now owes electricity of about Rs 60,000 following which the electricity department took action against the politician.
