Ahead of Madhya Pradesh assembly elections, Bhartiya Janta Party’s (BJP) Member of Parliament from Mandla, Faggan Singh Kulaste faced the anguish of women residents of his own constituency on Saturday. During campaigning for BJP’s candidate Dev Singh Shyaam, several women residents of Deelwada village in Mandla district gathered against Kulaste over various issues and showcased their anger against ruling BJP government in the state.

Issues of water crisis, providing smooth roads and many more were raised during the protest against Faggan Singh Kulaste, where females were present in the large number. Women alleged that, authorities have failed in providing water for irrigation and conditions of roads have become worsened in the area.

BJP is ruling in Madhya Pradesh since 2003 and Shivraj Singh Chouhan led government is facing acute anti-incumbency in the state over various issues including SC/ST Act, reservation in promotion and many more. Conversely, Congress party is looking to end its fifteen years of exile under the leadership of Kamal Nath and Jyotiraditya Scindia respectively.
