Janta Dal United (JDU), who has collaborated with Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in Bihar, is making efforts to form a grand alliance with small political outfits of Madhya Pradesh against the BJP in the upcoming assembly polls.
JDU Supremo Nitish Kumar along with party Vice-President Prashant Kishor will meet Madhya Pradesh JDU Chief Suraj Jaiswal in Patna in coming days. Sources claimed that the party has decided to field 150 candidates in assembly polls and ready to form a grand alliance with like-minded parties. Jaiswal will also discuss the campaign strategies, including Nitish Kumar’s rallies in Madhya Pradesh.
According to sources, JDU’s influence confined to Mahakaushal, Vindhya and Bundelkhand regions and pertaining to which, the party will be fielding most candidates in these areas only.
Rebel JDU leader Sharad Yadav’s supporters are aiming to bring the Congress in the state and planning to defeat saffron outfit which is ruling in Madhya Pradesh since 2003.
Already Samajwadi Party (SP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Gondwana Gantantra Party (GGP), Jai Adivasi Yuva Shakti (JAYS), Samanya Pichhda Evum Alpasankhyak Varg Adhikari Karmachari Sanstha (SAPAKS) party, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) have announced, they would be fielding candidates in Madhya Pradesh election.
