Visitor Thrashed By Auto Driver: At the Mahakal Ghati here on Tuesday, devotees who had travelled from Delhi to attend the Mahakaleshwar temple were beaten by other persons, including an auto-rickshaw driver.
A video of the incident that shows several individuals yelling at the female devotee went viral as well. Shubham and Kamal travelled on the Nizamuddin Express to get to Ujjain on Tuesday.
They departed for the Mahakal temple in an e-rickshaw from this location. At the crossroads of Kot Mohalla, auto driver Haider ran over the rickshaw. The auto driver started arguing with e-rickshaw driver Anand Vaish when he went to ask why.

The accused Haider and some of his companions started fighting with devotees Kamal and Shubham as they arrived to break up the dispute. Accused Haider also intimidated the female followers when they attempted to stop the assault.
The accused is seen threatening the followers in the viral video of the incident. When Kamal and Shubham intervened to break up the altercation, Shubham said that the accused Haider beat him up over an unimportant topic. He was beaten by Haider, who also tore his clothes. According to Sections 323, 294, and 506 of the IPC, Mahakal police filed a complaint against the accused auto driver, who was later imprisoned.
