At least 4 people were killed and several others were wounded on Wednesday when a man opened fire in San Francisco.

According to officials and witnesses, the man was thought to be a United Parcel Service Inc employee who opened fire at a company facility.

San Francisco police gave no immediate information on the victims but said that the building was secure.

In a live video, a large number of policemen were seen near the facility and employees were being led out and embracing each other on the sidewalk just outside.

“UPS confirms there was an incident involving employees within the company’s facility in San Francisco earlier this morning,” said the company in a statement.

“Local law enforcement have control of the facility and are conducting an investigation. We cannot provide information as to the identity of persons involved at this time, pending the police investigation,” the statement said.
