Mandaadi OTT Release: Soori’s Mandaadi is now moving from cinemas to OTT after a strong run at the box office. The Tamil sports action drama was released in theatres on September 10, 2026. It was directed by Mathimaran Pugazhendhi and features Soori in the main role with Suhas, Mahima Nambiar and Sathyaraj.
The movie will start streaming on Netflix on October 8, 2026. Viewers can watch it in Tamil and also get dubbed versions in Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam. This will give the film a much wider reach after its theatrical release.
In theatres, Mandaadi was shown in formats including 2D, IMAX 2D, EPIQ and Dolby Cinema 2D. The movie has a runtime of around 2 hours and 34 minutes.

Soori plays Muthukaali, also called Kaali. He is a talented former boat racer who has moved away from his old life after a painful incident. He later works as a lifeguard in Chennai.
Suhas plays Saattapuli, a strong rival who has become one of the most powerful people in the local boat racing scene. This film also marks Suhas’ Tamil debut. Mahima Nambiar plays Angel Rakkamma, while Sathyaraj appears as Munayya. The supporting cast includes Krish Hassan, Mithun Jai Sankar, Ravindra Vijay, Bala Saravanan, Achyuth Kumar and others.
The story takes place in a coastal fishing community in Tamil Nadu. Traditional sailboat racing is at the heart of the film. Kaali has left racing behind, but old problems pull him back when a new conflict starts between rival teams.
The situation grows bigger as friendships break, old rivalries return and the young racers get caught in serious trouble. Kaali must face his past while preparing for the important boat race. The sea, the racing teams and the life of the fishing community all play a major part in the story.

The film has turned into a major commercial success for Soori. By October 5, the makers announced that Mandaadi had crossed ₹150 crore in worldwide gross collections. It also crossed ₹100 crore in Tamil Nadu.
Earlier reports had already placed the film above ₹125 crore worldwide by its third week. It has now become the highest-grossing film of Soori’s career as a lead actor. The movie’s strong theatrical run has made its Netflix release one of the major Tamil OTT releases of the week.
