The Manipur High Court on Monday revoked the detention of journalist Kishorchandra Wangkhem under the NSA Act.

Wangkhem, who was detained more than three months ago by the administration under the National Security Act and has been serving the jail since then, will be released in a few days from now after the court’s order.

The copy of the order is expected soon.

Kishorchandra, who worked for a cable TV network, was arrested after he criticized the BJP and PM Narendra Modi and also allegedly used “abusive” words against CM N Biren Singh.
